A thank you note

To whom it may concern:

I would like to thank you for your marvelous invention of the washable crayon. You have saved my relationship with my children as well as my relationship with my parents. Let me relate a story to illustrate.

Several weeks ago, when I was at my parents house with my children, I was upstairs doing dishes while my children were supposed to be taking a rest. When I went down to make sure that my two-year-old son was asleep, he was quietly snoring on his bed. Relieved, I went to the toy room to sit for a moment when I discovered, to my horror, artwork adorning almost every surface imaginable all around the room. There were doodles on the glass in front of the gas fireplace, lines across the cupboards, scribbles on a whiteboard, circles on the walls, "writing" on toys, and the list goes on. My first thought was, "My parents are going to kill me." My second thought was, "I am going to kill my son." Although I had purchased washable crayons for this very reason, I had never had any experience with the necessity of cleaning them up in such a fashion and I did not think that each of these many and varied surfaces would escape permanent damage caused by my son's artistic rampage. Thankfully, I was wrong. These crayons wiped right off, with just the aid of a damp paper towel. Completely gone. No more waxy residue as evidence that my son was not angelically slumbering in his bed for the entire period of my absence.

Once again, thank you. I will proudly and faithfully recommend washable crayons to every parent of young children. I hope it will save many relationships of parents and children, of all generations, in the future.

Sincerely,

Audrey Hanks
