Imagination

To many of you, the pictures above may appear to be the cardboard used to wrap a bolt of fabric around. You would be correct. The other day when I was purchasing fabric, I happened to use the end of the bolt with both of the fabrics I was buying so the employee sent me home with both of them still wrapped on the cardboard centers. I thought I might use them for wrapping fabric remnants on, packing artwork, or just tossing them in the recycle bin.

However, in about 15 minutes after my children discovered these gems, they had found many more uses for them than I could have dreamed of. In no particular order, they were used for:

fighting (imaginary) alligators
a book (turning the pages...)
a ramp - quite a steep hill, in fact - for cars to race down
a drawbridge
a table for eating at
a ship for transporting important goods
drums

Children are amazing...
